	UNEP's 24th Governing Council Meeting/Global Ministerial Forum

		In the on going meeting, UNEP has in principal commited to the formulation of Indigenous Peoples policy but subject to the approval of the governing council. Indigenous peoples representatives at the meeting have started lobbying their governments to agree on such policy. However, since most Africa governments are yet to be comfortable with the idea of indigenous peoples, we need to move slowly as we lobby our governments on the same. UNEP is also coming up with a website on indigenous peoples!
